Mo’olelo is the Hawaiian word for story, a legend, an article, and literature. This article includes an interview with our Polynesian Wood Carving tour guide Mani Lavaka. Mani is the fourth generation of Tongan carvers and provides carving lessons on a Tiki Carving tour, using only a chisel and wooden mallet an ancient art that has long been forgotten.

“Had the best time doing a Polynesian ATV tour with them! It was not only a great course to drive an ATV on but all the stations were super fun and very informative. Our guides were Erica and Jerome, both were awesome! Jerome obviously had extensive knowledge of Polynesian culture and history, and his fire dancing was INSANE!! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the big island.”Jessi BowserFacebook
