Island of Hawaii
We recognize the word “Aloha” which has become one of the most famous words in the world. Hawaii is also famous for its luaus. Luaus were born out of the religious taboo of men and women eating together in ancient Hawaii.
While making a short stop on your ATV, you can taste freshly prepared poi which is a traditional food made from the taro plant and is still eaten today at luaus.
Island of Fiji
Fighting was literally a way of life. The Fijian warrior did not rely on shield or armor, but depended rather on his well developed agility and alertness. While you stop in Fiji, you will be able to test your skills by throwing a traditional spear at its target. Also, enjoy the traditional Fijian game of pineapple smashing.
After being blindfolded and armed with a warrior club, experience trying to smash a pineapple on the ground. Don’t worry – the Fijians aren’t all fight. In fact, they are a warm and caring people with some exciting tales to share.
Island of Tonga
This is the place that is known as the ‘friendly islands.” Tonga is a Polynesian sovereign state, and has never been ruled by a foreign power and is made up of 177 islands spread over 500 miles.
At this stop, you will learn the mauluulu (a type of sitting dance while on your ATV). Also, learn how Tongans used wooden drums, or lali during welcoming and other ceremonies. How are your drumming skills?
Island of Samoa
the Samoan people know how to have fun, in fact their sense of humor is known throughout Polynesia. As you will see, the traditional living quarters, or fale (houses), contain no walls and up to 20 people may sleep on the ground in the same fale. In Samoan culture, most activities are done together.
As you stop in the Samoan village, you will learn how to crack open a coconut using a small rock and have a drink of fresh coconut water. A refreshing reward after learning a new skill!
